Dean of  FICS

Ph.D. of technical sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technics of Ukraine, winner of the award named after Glushkov of NAS of Ukraine in the field of informatics, Head of Department of Computer-Aided Management and Data Processing Systems, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science of NTUU “KPI”, director of the scientific and research institute of information processes.

A.A. Pavlov was born October 8, 1944, in Rubtsovsk, Altai region. Education – higher, in 1967 graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, where he received an electrical engineering degree in “Automation and Control”. His professional career started at the Institute of Cybernetics of the USSR as an engineer. From 1967 to 1970 – post-graduate of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, and after the defense for the degree of candidate of technical sciences in 1970 worked as an assistant, senior lecturer and assistant professor of Technical Cybernetics at KPI. In 1977, he defended his doctoral dissertation, starting from 1979 – Professor of automated control systems (since 1994 – Computer-Aided Management and Data Processing Systems), since 1981 – head of the department, and from 1995 – Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science.

A.A. Pavlov is a prominent scientist in the field of computer science and management, has significant scientific achievements in the areas of mathematical methods of operations research, the theory of algorithms, modern control theory, information and software of the integrated ACS small batch production type. Main results of his work are reflected in 192 published scientific works, including 10 books and 1 tutorial approved by Ministry of Higher Education of the USSR. His fundamental work outlined in the book “

By linear models in nonlinear control systems”, ” Algorithmic software for complex control systems”,” Constructive polynomial algorithms for solving individual problems of class NP”, “PDS – algorithms for intractable combinatorial problems. Theory and Methodology of development “,” Automated control system bending technology”, ” Fundamentals of system analysis and design of ACS”, “Algorithmic software project management of virtual enterprises in shipbuilding”, “Information technology and algorithmic control” are widely known in scientific circles. The theoretical results in  difficult to solve combinatorial optimization problems were the basis for the development of algorithmic support of information management systems and technologies in various sectors of the economy.

A.A. Pavlov is a Chairman of Scientific Advisory Board at DPC  of the professional direction “Computer science and new information technologies” of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, head of scientific-methodical commission of MES of Ukraine in the “Computer Science” field , head of the Expert Council of Higher Attestation Commission of Ukraine, deputy head of a specialized Academic Council D 01.02.08 at NTU “KPI”.

Has awards:

– Medal “In memory of the 1500th anniversary of the Kyiv”;

– Honored Worker of Science of Ukraine;

– Scientific Prize named after V.N. Glushkov National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, 2001. 

Deputy Dean for educational and methodical work

Irina Pavlovna Mukha is an Associate Professor of Department of Computer-Aided Management and Data Processing Systems of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. Since 1984 works  at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

P. Mukha was born in 1961 in Cherkasy. In 1984 graduated from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with honors in automated control systems. In 2004, she defended her thesis on the specialty 05.13.06 “Automated control systems and progressive information technology.”

In 2007,  she awarded the rank of associate professor.

Research interests – programming languages.

The author of 12 research papers, 4 teaching materials for different disciplines.

Deputy Dean for educational and pedagogical work

Mykhail Martinovich  Tkach is a Ph.D. of technical sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of TC from 1981. Fields of research – automation of technological processes, the design of flexible integrated systems. Author and co-author of 47 publications, 2 monographs, and 4 textbooks. Laureate of State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology. Since October 2011 acting as  Head of Department of TC.
